Sustainability
We’re committed to developing our business sustainably
As we’ve grown as a business, so has our responsibility to the environment.
We’re striving to make our group more sustainable and eco-friendly, through reducing our energy consumption, recycling PPE, cutting back on single-use plastic and creating wildlife gardens.
Our sustainability strategy is helping us to reduce our carbon footprint, cut waste and supercharge our charitable activities.
We’ve committed to a range of short and long-term goals that put sustainability at the heart of everything we do, reflecting our ethos of developing VetPartners in an efficient, ethical, sustainable and profitable way.
Taking our responsibility to the planet seriously
We have a dedicated team to support practices with all aspects of sustainability, including environmental compliance, reducing waste, their carbon footprint and engaging colleagues and clients.
Our practice teams also play a key role, with our network of green champions enabling our practices to share knowledge and ideas to help each other with sustainability.
We’re helping our practices to achieve the prestigious Investors in the Environment accreditation, which enhances their reputation with existing and potential clients, makes practices more attractive when recruiting and can save money on utility bills.
We were the first veterinary group to provide Zero Waste Boxes for more than 300 of our sites in England, Scotland and Wales to recycle extra PPE during the global Covid-19 pandemic.
We’ve had some fun along the way, too! It’s been amazing to see the wildlife gardens that our teams have built to attract birds, bugs and beetles and give their colleagues a peaceful place to relax in nature.
