MORE than 100 charities and worthy causes that help people, animals and the environment across the UK and Europe have benefited from the kindness of colleagues at VetPartners who raised £376,453 during 2025.
Teams from VetPartners’ veterinary practices and associated animal healthcare businesses throughout the UK and Europe ran marathons, climbed mountains, baked cakes and organised dog shows, quizzes and raffles to generate money to help worthy causes and those most in need.
Colleagues raised £214,300 during 2025 and VetPartners donated £162,153 through its charity fund that matches money raised by team members. In total, 138 charities and worthy causes benefited.
The amount raised was the highest ever total raised in a year by VetPartners and it saw the group top the £1million mark for the 10 years it has been established.
Through its partnership with VetPartners, World Land Trust has been able to purchase and protect more than 1,000 acres of threatened habitat. VetPartners directly donates to the international conservation charity through annual events such as Month of Movement every May. Colleagues logged their activities during Month of Movement on the Strava app and VetPartners accumulated everyone’s minutes, before donating £1 (€1.20) for every hour of physical activity by team members.

VetPartners Group Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Hannah James, who oversees fundraising activities, said: “Every year, our colleagues throw themselves into fundraising for our chosen charity and other causes that are close to their hearts. People are prepared to do incredible feats that often demand physical and mental toughness, and they also put so much effort into arranging events.
“We’re always touched by the stories behind the fundraising as, often, it is to support causes that are really special to them or to their family, colleagues or friends. The fundraising reflects how caring and compassionate the veterinary community is as people go all out to help others.”
Now efforts are focused on raising money for VetPartners’ 2026 chosen charity, Vetlife. Colleagues were asked to vote for their charity of the year and Vetlife received the majority vote from a shortlist of six.
Hannah added: “We understand that working in the veterinary profession can be a really tough job emotionally and our colleagues face challenging situations almost every day. Vetlife does so much to support the veterinary community, so we are looking forward to raising as much money as possible to help the great work they do.”
